Diploma Program in Australia

The diploma program is designed to create an open and exciting atmosphere in which you can discover more about yourself and Process Oriented Psychology, also called Process Work.

It takes more than a conscious choice to complete the formal training. Your decision to enter the program needs to be supported by events, synchronicities, and dreams indicating this direction. Following this process supports you in a way which is unique to your personal learning style.

The Australian Diploma Program enables students to study Process Oriented Psychology with only temporary attendance at the Process Work Center of Portland.

Diploma Structure

The Diploma Program is, at minimum, a four year program which is built on three pillars: personal work (that is. awareness of one's own process), the theoretical curriculum, and training in the practical application of knowledge. The Diploma Program is the qualification required for recognition as a certified process oriented therapist.

Two Year Certificate Program

This is a synthesis of experiential work and theoretical training in the basics of Process Work. The program provides students with a wide range of learning opportunities and encourages each student, in collaboration with an advisor, to design a program tailored to his or her individual needs and interests. Standard requirements include participation in seminars. training, supervision and personal therapy. In addition to these basic requirements, each student formulates a learning agreement which includes his or her individual needs and areas of interest. Upon completion of this program, a certificate of study is awarded, certifying that the student has studied and acquired a beginning knowledge of process work and is ready, should he or she wish to undertake intermediate and advance studies leading to a diploma in process work.

Worldwork

Worldwork is a biennial experiential training seminar in conflict work and community building. The seminar provides a unique opportunity for people from all over the world to come together in a powerful forum for focusing on and working with social, environmental, and political issues using group process skills. Between two and three hundred people from over thirty countries and all walks of life participate in these 7-10 day gatherings. The large staff facilitates a diversity of learning experiences that include large group focus and interaction, small group meetings, one-to-one sessions and networking groups. The first worldwork seminar took place in 1991 on the Oregon coast, and was facilitated by Drs. Arny and Amy Mindell with the assistance off a staff of certified process workers. Since then worldwork seminars have been held in Switzerland, Slovakia, India, and Greece, facilitated by a large international staff. The latest worldwork seminar was held in Sydney, Australia in April/May 2006. The next Worldwork is to be held 24-29 April 2008 in London.
